This is an old school book dated 1936 called " Voices of America, American Literature". It belonged to my late mother in law.

I love it because it has pages in the front where she practiced writing what would be her married name. It helps me see her as a young woman anticipating marriage.

My mother in law was not sentimental about anything so I suspect the only reason she kept the book was that she thought it was proper to have books in her one and only bookcase. *g*

I like the page that I turned to for the photo and found myself reading more about Miss Cravat and her cowboy with the six shooters.
